After graduating from Bethlehem Catholic, Miss DeSanto pursued a BS in mathematics and minor in psychology from Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales.  After college, she worked in the Mental Health (MH) field in both direct care and in administration as the Director of MIS/Finance. Throughout the duration of Miss DeSanto’s employment in MH, she was involved with the retreats at Bethlehem Catholic and independently tutored students in mathematics.

On two separate occasions, she worked at Becahi part time, once in 1990 and again in 2001.  The following year, she returned to Becahi full time to teach mathematics and as the head Cheerleading coach. Miss DeSanto has taught all levels of Algebra and developed a summer math enrichment class for Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2.  She also developed and teaches the SAT class during the school year and the summer.  Thus-far at Bethlehem Catholic, she has coached Cheerleading and Varsity Girls’ Basketball, moderated the Student Council & homecoming activities as well as the prayer service coordinator.

Her proudest accomplishment at Bethlehem Catholic was as a member of the Bethlehem Catholic Adult retreat team for a total of 30 years.   Throughout that time, along with the in-school retreats, she helped develop a program with specific retreats for all high school grade levels, a Christmas service retreat to Kirkland Village, numerous Growth Retreats and an alumni Reunion Retreat for the 50th Year on Madison celebration.  She established a Service Team program which included preparation day retreats for the team and ran a Youth Group where students could come together and share their faith, regardless of their religious denomination.

Miss DeSanto currently teaches Algebra 2, Fundamental Algebra 2, College Algebra and Honors Algebra 1.  She is the Assistant Campus Minister, moderates the National Honor Society, is responsible for all aspects of Graduation and coordinates the class ring prayer service.

In addition to her involvement at Bethlehem Catholic, Miss DeSanto also teaches GED classes through NCACC at Nazareth Area High School.  She values her relationship with God and with her family and puts them first in her life.  She enjoys spending time with her nieces & nephews as they are the greatest example of God’s love.
