Vocations

Vocations

At Bethlehem Catholic High School, we actively strive to promote vocations to the Priesthood, Religious Life, and Holy Matrimony among our beloved students!  We know that true happiness and joy comes from doing’s God’s will for us and following His plan for our life in our particular vocation.  We want to lovingly help our students discern the Lord’s will for them so they can discover their particular vocation in life, better receive God’s love, and answer His call to love and serve Him and others in this life.

As disciples of Christ, we’re all called to love and serve our Savior with our whole life and to become holy.  Holiness is the universal vocation of all persons and it is our primary vocation as human beings.  Our particular vocation, whether to Holy Matrimony, the Priesthood, or the Religious Life, is the pathway by which God sanctifies us and makes us holy and truly happy.  God, Who lovingly created us, knows what will make us truly happy and free and so we must trust Him and not be afraid!

From time to time, we’re so blessed to welcome our diocesan seminarians and religious sisters from different religious orders into school to witness to vocations to the priesthood and religious life and to answer any questions our students may have.

We also offer field trips for the boys to St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Ambler, PA, where most of our diocesan seminarians go to discern the priesthood and be formed for priestly ministry.  We also offer a field trip for the girls to convents such as the Mother House for the Sisters of Christian Charity (SCC) in Mendham, NJ.  These trips are designed to help our students understand the Priesthood and Religious Life and what it’s like to formally discern these vocations and undergo training and formation for these particular vocations.

We encourage our students to attend diocesan vocational discernment events like Quo Vadis and Fiat as well Come and See Days/weekends at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary and various convents!

Any students who are actively discerning a vocation are welcome and encouraged to reach out to our Chaplain with any questions.  Also, for more information about vocations, vocational discernment, and upcoming vocations events, please visit the following websites:
