Dear Becahi Family,
I hope you enjoyed reading our expanded online 2022-2023 Report of Giving: Embracing the Challenge Together! People have enjoyed reading about our students’ strong moral character and academic success, as told in the stories of Mia Willard ’24 and Josh Brown ’24. Others were happy to learn about the improvements our donors have made possible, like our one-to-one computer program, facilities upgrades, and other curriculum improvements. Many alumni were nostalgic when viewing pictures of some of their favorite teachers. Fortunately, we continue to have many excellent, inspiring, and dedicated teachers like those we pictured on our 2022-2023 donor pages. We are particularly blessed with many selfless benefactors who have set an example of using various savvy giving strategies like EITC, Matching Gifts, Required Minimum Distributions, Planned Giving Strategies, and Event Sponsorships.
Since a Centennial Celebration is a rare occurrence, can you help us prepare Becahi to face the challenge of the next 100 years? This year our Becahi Fund goal is to reach 1000 donors in keeping with our theme, “Embracing the Challenge Together!” May I also request that you encourage other family and friends to join you in making any gift their present circumstances allow? Your endorsement is crucial to helping us reach our goal of 1,000 donors this year and building momentum for Becahi’s Centennial Celebration in July 2025 through June 2026.
As we approach our 100th year, we are committed to empowering students to live their faith, achieve academic excellence, serve with compassion, and be life-long disciples. Your donations to the Becahi Fund form the foundation that allows us to upgrade our first-rate curriculum, give over one million dollars in financial aid to those who need it, and provide an educational and extracurricular experience that this generation of Golden Hawks will never forget!
Bethlehem Catholic, the oldest Catholic High School in the Allentown Diocese, began when our local Catholic community rallied together to raise the money to build our beloved Becahi. In a recent letter to us, Reverend Bishop Alfred A. Schlert wrote, “Becahi has a rich and inspirational history, a vibrant present, and a promising future.”
Today’s world needs Catholic education more than ever, so we call on your support of Bethlehem Catholic’s educational mission. As you read this, we have new and inspiring leadership in the person of Dr. Dean Donaher, who along with faculty and staff are developing exciting plans to prepare our school for success beginning right now. Your support at this time will allow for a true transformation by combining the best of Becahi’s past with the brightest future for our students.
Know that we pray for you every day at Bethlehem Catholic. May God bless you and keep you for your generosity and care for every generation of Golden Hawks.
Fides et Scientia!
