Mr. Messina has been teaching at Bethlehem Catholic since 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from King’s College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Southeast Missouri State University. He completed a MA degree in Education at LaSalle University and is a Pennsylvania level II teacher certified in chemistry and biology. He also completed graduate coursework at DeSales University and earned the ESL program specialist endorsement from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Mr. Messina currently teaches Fundamental Chemistry, Honors Chemistry and AP Chemistry. He is the moderator for the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS Science Fair), the Lehigh Valley Science Fair and the Technical Student Association’s TEAMS competition (Test of Engineering Aptitude, Math and Science). He also prepares students to compete in the Chemistry Olympiad.
